How the 3-day trial works
The trial starts on first launch, including the time it takes to download the model. After three days, AI features lock until you buy the one-time unlock. Manual logging, search, barcode scanning, history, and other non-AI features remain available. There is no subscription to cancel.
Your meals stay on your iPhone
The AI model analyzes meal photos on-device. PocketMacro has no account, and your meal history is stored locally. Photos are kept only while you review a result and are removed after you save or discard it, with a seven-day maximum.
Network access is used to download the model and, if you choose, search USDA food data or look up a barcode with Open Food Facts. Those requests do not send your photos or meal history. Apple Health access is optional.
Download size and compatible iPhones
The model download is about 2.6 GB. After first use it occupies about 4.5 GB, and setup needs about 6 GB free. Wi-Fi is recommended. AI features require an A12 Bionic chip or newer (iPhone XS, XR, or later). You can skip setup and keep using the free logging tools.
Your data, under your control
Export your data as a portable file or delete it from the app. Apple Health is opt-in. The App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”; see the Privacy Policy for details.
